Hi! I’m Amanda Co-founder of What the Fertility Podcast and I am so glad you’re here! A little over three years ago my hubs Chris and I got married and were so excited to start a family. Little did we know it wouldn’t be that simple. 3 years of infertility, 1 miscarriage, 2 failed IVF cycles, 5 embryos lost due to genetic abnormalities, and an embryo adoption I am excited to share that we just had our embryo adopted baby this November.
With my background as a Counselor after having our miscarriage I knew I wanted to share our story publicly. I kept searching for a place of community within this journey of fertility and didn’t want to be ashamed or quiet about it. This is your story and you deserve to tell it. With a love for helping others, I hope this podcast becomes a great outlet that connects you with resources and testimonies that help you walk this journey of fertility.

Hi! I’m Catherine, Co-Founder of What The Fertility. Thank you for being here with us! Three years ago, my husband and I tied the knot. We took a year to travel the world and when January 2020 came around, we started trying to grow our family. With my career focused in OBGYN & high risk maternal fetal care, I was not naïve to the struggles that came along with building a family. Josh and I went on to experience six miscarriages in a span of two years. One of those miscarriages, was a result of our one and only IVF cycle that yielded one perfect embryo. We were officially diagnosed with unexplained reoccurring pregnancy loss.
I chose to share my story publicly on social media after my first loss. I was overwhelmed by the amount of women saying “me too”. Friends started sending their friends to my page and I started meeting some bad ass women walking through loss and/or infertility. I began to get overwhelmed at the one off conversations and decided why not create a local support group in my city where women could connect with other women walking the same path.
I saw the impact this support group made and felt compelled to widen our reach. My hope is that this podcast provides resources and a community to feel less alone during an extremely isolating time.
